FunKinder Review and Giveaway

About FunKinder:
FunKinder is a traditional family business. The inspiration for the reflective clothing idea came when the family had their first son, Janne. Like most little children, Janne has always been incredibly active and they all love the outdoors. Having lived in the Pacific Norhtwest, the grey weather did not bother the family at all. They spent ever minute possible hiking or on their bicycles.

At a 1½ years old, Janne learned how to ride his balance-bike and he would take it around the block. The neighborhood lacked sidewalks and the family was very concerned about safety. As parents, they wore safety vest on grey and dark days, but their son refused to wear the ones they had gotten for him. They desperately tried to find vests for toddlers, or any other reflective clothing for children. They searched and the only thing they were able to find were rain jackets. Out in Seattle it doesn't rain everyday and evenings can be nice and warm.


The family was in need for clothing that had reflectivity for safety and that would be comfortable to wear as well. That's when they decided to create a new line of children's reflective clothing. Janne, his little brother Jelte and their friends all love the FunKinder clothes, even the parents as well. Now children that are out as dusk, night or dawn can benefit from the extra safety with attractive designs from the reflective VisiKid and VisiFun clothing line. Your child will be noticed no matter the weather or what sport they will be playing. Later additions that have been added to the line are the NameTeez where you can add personalized names to the clothing.

My Review:
You know, I have never thought of putting reflectors on my children when they were outside playing. My children don't have bikes, they don't skateboard or any other sports activities; they just, play, lol. I always thought that they would only need reflectors when we would do something like bike riding. It may seem like that's the only time the would need it, but when you think about it, they should wear some sort of reflector no matter what they are doing outside.

When I found out about FunKinder I thought this was a perfect idea to keep children safe and out of harms way. I knew this would be perfect for our walks around the neighborhood or the bike path. Not only do I love the idea, but my children love it as well. Here is a picture of them wearing their Fleece Sweatshirts:

I decided to get their names printed on the sweatshirts. I was having a bit of an issue over who wants what animal and what design and this and that... Huh, kids, lol. So I decided to have their names on the sweatshirts instead and they were happy with the decision. Now, as for the sweatshirts, they are made of fleece and other soft material comfortable for children. They will definitely keep the little ones warm!

 Here is a picture of Jordan in his sweatshirt. Notice how it reflects in the dark! Well, it wasn't that dark, but you know what I mean, lol. I noticed that any light from outside hit the shirt and reflected off of it right away.

This is the Stars design on the back of his sweatshirt. This also reflects as well.

Here is Jennah in her swearshirt. It doesn't look like it reflects much but it does. I think it was just the position of the camera that didn't really catch it. It does reflect really well, but not as bright as the reflection on Jordan's shirt.

This is the Circle design on the back of her sweatshirt.

And little Georgie! As you can see he was being a little goof, lol. As for the sweatshirt, I was able to get some of the reflection, but not much. The is not flash on my phone so I wasn't able to get the full effect of the reflectiveness. You will notice a big difference at night when the street lights or the car lights hit the shirt. This sweatshirts are great!

Every since I received these sweatshirts for review, I always make sure my children are wearing them, even for our walks. This is definitely the greatest creation known to man! I wish there was something like this when I was a child. I know I would have been wearing the heck out of it, lol.
