ReUsies Review and Giveaway

About ReUsies:
At the start of the new school year the family had realized that they were going through an average of 10 plastic bags per day between work and school lunches. They did their best to reuse and recycle in other areas of their lives, but there didn't seem to be a solution to the plastic sandwich bags they were using.

They developed ReUsies for their waste-free quality, but many of the customers reason for purchasing thier product was to eliminate any plastic from being in direct contact with their family's food.

My Review:
Ever wonder how much you and your family are actually spending on sandwich bags? It may not seem like you are spending much because you get the bags cheap or you get them while they are on sale. But if you think about it, you are spending a large amount of money on something that can't be recycled. Who am I to talk, lol. I didn't use sandwich bags though. I did it ghetto and just used clear wrap. Until recently when I was given the opportunity to review ReUsies snack and sandwich bags.

The bag is adorable! This is the Little Green Monster Snack Pack. Now, I usually pack my husbands lunch (what woman doesn't =P) and like I said, I was was using clear wrap. So, I busted the ReUsies out and I figued why not. After I make the Sandwich I open up the ReUsies and I hear, "Noooooo! Don't put my sandwich in a cloth diaper. What the hell do you think you are doing?" I laughed my tush off because my husband thought I was putting a cloth diaper on his food. I explained to him what it was and told him that it's reusable and what not and then he changed his tune. Men... lol
So he tried it out and when he got home from work he told me how much he loves it. He's even told me that his coworkers have asked about it. Well anyways, back to the review now, lol. Below is a picture of the ReUsies opened.

As you can see from the first image that this is what the outside looks like. In the second image that shows you what the inside flap looks like. The food does stay put in the pouch as well and it is well insulated.

It looks a tote/purse on the inside but for sandwiches and snacks. The lining is waterproof and easy to clean. You can toss it in the washer, put it in the dishwasher or you can even hand wash it. 1. This concept is really intriguing. I do use way too many plastic bags for storage and lunch packing. My favorite designs that would be take to work appropriate for DH are the Heavy Metal and the Little Green Monsters.
